How an UHD offer you stunning, life-like PICTURE QUALITY?  There are always 2 factors: Contrast Ratio: how bright or black the TV can get Color Accuracy: how closely colors on the screen resemble real life (or whatever palette the director intends) HDR (High Dynamic Range) expands the range of the content. It expands the range of both contrast and color significantly. Bright parts of the image can get much brighter; Dark parts of the image can be much darker.
